Automated pH Titration & Dosing System

Intermediate 4 weeks 28-45 hours

Build an automated titration/dosing rig: a pump adds reagent while a pH probe logs the curve to find the endpoint. Core process-control skill used in water treatment and chemical plants. Safe, buildable, and job-relevant.

Steps

  1. Calibrate the pH sensor with buffer solutions.
  2. Set up the pump to add a mild reagent like vinegar or baking soda solution to a test sample.
  3. Program the Arduino to add small doses and log pH after each one.
  4. Run a full titration and plot the titration curve.
  5. Program automatic endpoint detection and compare it to a manual titration.
  6. Document the rig and results for your portfolio.
